Happy Holloween!

It's the end of October month and it's halloween too! So, Happy Halloween everyone! May you have a scary one, hehehe.

The kids of my employers are attending a holloween celebration in the neighbor and then their going to go to the houses in the neighborhood for a trick or treat game. Hmmmm, I never heard about this one in my province. I only knew about it for the first time in Denmark. My employers said that Halloween celebration was only started 5 years ago here and they said that mainly for business purposes. Stores are trying to create it to sell all those halloween costumes and candies.

Missing Paris, France

I suddenly remember that it's already 1 year and 1 month that I've been to the City of Love, Paris and I'm really missing my memorable experiences there. The mini-cruise, the visit to the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Church, Louvre Museum, Arch of Triumph and other places and most especially, my brothers and sisters in SFC that eventually turned into friends.

It was in September 2006 that I went in Paris with my SFC sisters from Denmark to attend the 6th Revolution SFC Conference. The trip was really very memorable since it affected my spiritual being as well. A powerful weekend, indeed! It's really nice to visit Paris and attend some activities as well to make more fun and experience. And it's also a practical idea because you can only visit the place once or not yet sure when are you going to visit it for the next time, so you have to make the most of your visit.

When you visit Paris you should not miss the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Church and Louvre Museum among others. While seeing at those famous structures, I was really in awe! I just cn't believe that I'm finally seeing them with my own eyes! I thought that all I could do is stare at them at post cards and not seeing them for real. But whoahh, there I was in Paris and fulfilling one of my unrealistic dreams of coming into the Paris. what an experience.

Paris is also a great shopping center and if you love shopping, then you'll surely love Paris. Ave Jean Medecin, is a street running from Place Massena up through the center of the city and it has many of the city's main shopping and department stores. You will surely find fabulous things there, be it for yourself or as gifts to your love ones when you come home from the City of Love.

If you want to go to France and has no place to stay, don't worry because there are a lot of hotels in france where you can stay comfortably, yet in an affordable price. There are also a lot of hotels in paris where you can stay while enjoying the famous City. If you decide to extend your visit in France and go to major tourist centre and a leading resort on the French Riviera which is the City of Nice, then there no problem at all because there are also nice hotels there where you can stay comfortably.

Visit Paris and have an experience of a lifetime!

For sure, she will sing Abba songs (her favorite) tonight. Bad thing and I didn't inherit Mama's golden voice. I'm the only one in the family who can't sing well and can't use a musical instrument, :(..Awwww, duha diay mi sa akong beloved Papa.

A small office in my employer's place

My employers have a small office room upstairs. It's a small room, yet pretty tidy and organized. There are only 2 furnitures there. The main office furniture is the carved wooden table for the desktop and the printer that goes with a carved wooden chair. On the side is a white long rack where books, CDs, their videocam, digital cameras, the new laptop and other important stuffs are placed. On top of the rack are photo frames of their kids and their parents.

Though the office is small, but still it looks spacious because of the very tidy arrangement.

blogging on a lonely night

Hi everyone! I'm already here in my apartment and been blogging for almost 4 hours now. But I've been posting on my other blogs and this is my first entry here for tonight.

I'm feeling very lonely here. No washing machine noise to accompany me. The only sounds I'm hearing right now are the clicking of the keyboard and the ticking of my alarm clock, :(. How i wish I have someone right here that I can share my thoughts with until we'll burst into laughing, be it a loved one or a friend.

My mother sent me a text massege this afternoon informing me that my Uncle failed the Brgy. Captain race for a difference of 40 votes.Ohhhh ohhh! All I uttered was "sayang"! The history seems to repeat itself because it also happened to my grandfather before. My maternal Grandfather was also a Brgy. Captain in our place since our elementary days. He has been a public servant of Pilar Municipality for 20 years. I can still remember clearly how we fel about Lolo's failure during his reelection when I was already in my high school days. He has lost the race for a difference of 3 votes and 20+ of invalid votes for him,:(. And it's really ironic because Lolo lost the race to his godson, who is also the opponent of my Tiyo in the recently concluded election. Hayyyyyy life!

Excited to have my baby back

I'm so glad that the Barangay election is over now because it means that I'm going to have a constant and long conversation with my bf once again. Almost 3 weeks ago,our communication started to lessen since he has started working as one of the Board of Election Inspectors in their place. Since then, he has always tired for working overtime in the Comelec. So the constant exchange of text messages was suddenly reduced into 2 a day. And it has caused a lot of quarrel because I just don't want to understand his busy schedule. But despite my constant growling, he's romantic nature was never affected. One time, he chatted with me and after 10 minutes, he asked to go home already because he's already very tired and that he only chatted to me me even for a short time. How sweet! I was really very "kilig" at that moment, hehehe.

I always share my lovelife to my bestfriend and I'm always reprimanded by her for being so inconsiderate with my bf's busy schedule.:( I know I'm wrong and I'm glad that best is always there to remind me of my childish and non-sense arguments. So to make up for the quarrels I started, I started to calm down myself that the busy schedule is only temporary and it will end very soon. I started sending him SMS even if I don't get a relpy immediately and I did several things just to make up for my unlikely behavior. And last weekend, I shared it to my best once again and she was really laughing at me because it seems that my bf and me are into a romantic game. Hmmmm, I don't think why my best thought about it as a romantic game, hehehe.

Hopefully, there will be no more quarrels to come due to busy schedules and time-related arguments. The election has temporarily taken my baby away from me, but I'm going to have him back now! Hurrah!

having a break on a sunny day

Yeheyyyyyyy, the sun is shining today!I'm now here in my apartment because I'm already done with my cleaning, so it's time for me to have a break and be back at 3pm to prepare dinner.

My apartment has glass doors and windows and right now the small living room is so light due to the sun rays. I immediately transfer here in my bed because I can almost see nothing on the screen. I'm now blogging with the noise from the washing machine as a background, hehehe. I put some of my pants in the laundry.

I hope that you are all doing fine there. More updates later.

Simplicity of my employer's house

As I mentioned before, my employer's house is easy to clean because they don't have a lot of furnitures or decorations around the house. The house looks very neat and spacious due to it's few pieces of decorations. And that simplicity extends to their respective rooms and bathrooms. No bathroom vanities at all, just the basic things that you can find in a bathroom!

During the visit of my cousins here, I showed them my employer's house and they're really impressed because it's really very clean. And I'm really happy about their comment.

A sore neck

I just felt the pain on the left side of my neck this afternoon and everytime I move, I'm really feeling the pain. I suspect that this pain is the result of the long work last saturday at Nanay Lina and Tatay Benny's 25th wedding anniversary (I already blogged about it yesterday). I was exerting a lot of force during that time especially when I carried the heavy casseroles or the plates and glasses out from the dishwasher. And everytime I carry something heavy, it's always the left side of my body that exert more force since I'm left-handed and maybe it's the reason why I have a sore neck at the left part.

I just hope that the pain will go away very soon!

The barangay elections and a sad news

Today, October 29, is the barangay elections in the Philippines. Most of people thought that th elections in the barangay level will be postponed because it was approved it the Congress. However, the Senate did not approved it, so it still pushes through.

My Tiyo, the youngest and the only brother of my Mother seeks for a reelection as a Barangay Captain in our place for his last term. I already blogged about this, but I think I posted it in my other blog. I was really excited for the elections to come because I've been hoping the Tiyo will be victorious. But too bad, I just received a text message from my brother telling me that Tiyo Nick loses the race. Well, that's politics, someone has to be a loser and one has to be a winner! Too bad and it was my Tiyo who loses this time!

I'll just talk to him when I cal home on wednesday during the birthday of my Mama. For sure, he will be there and we can have a good talk about his candidacy.

Air Ambulance

I just heard and read about Air Ambulance a while ago, as I go netsufring about some medical terms. And I'm really amazed because I never thought that Air Ambulance exists! Poor me, I'm really outdated! But atleast I already knew now. It's always better late than never knowing about it at all!:)

Having a break

I'm done cleaning the house and also done gathering the falling leaves in one place. I still have to put them into a plastic bag and throw the leaves into the back of the ongoing house construction. My employer told me to throw it there and anyways, it's ok because the leaves will rot as time goes.

I'm going to throw them later, but for now, I'm having break. And of course, it's always blogging while resting, :). Not a complete rest at all.hehehe

It's windy outside, but atleast the wind is not that strong compared lastnight and thanks goodness because it's no longer raining. A lot of falling leaves are scattered outside, so I have to work outside too after cleaning the house.

So bare with me and more updates later folks. I'm gonna visit your blogs later too!

Samsung G600

One of our topics during the weekend is the plan of getting a new phone. We were discussing new phone models and our individual choices. Some of the models mentioned were Nokia N73, Nokia N95, Sony Ericsson and Samsung G600.

My original choice is Nokia N95, but after seeing the photo of the new Samsung G600 slim slider 5 megapixel camera phone and reading the features, I'm no longer sure on what to choose. I still have to make a lot of thinking about it because I don't want to regret later on. I started surfing about the different comparisons of the 2 phones in the net and I stumble upon the site of Samsung G600 Top thirty uber stylish clubs in the UK .

What will be your choice if you're the one to decide folks?

It's winter time!

Hi everyone! I hope that you had a nice weekend. I had a sleepless but great one!

It's officially winter here in Norway and our time was changed today by moving the clock an hour late..so more sleep for me, :).

I spent my weekend at Ate Brenda's place with my friends : Best, Lisa and Ella. We attended the SFC teaching first on Friday before finally heading to Ate's place.

On Saturday, I went to the 25th Wedding Anniversary of Nanay Lina and Tatay Benny together with other SFCs as part of the service team. The party was very successful and only 3 of us from the service team were requested to stay and help clean the venue. Choosen were Ate Mabel, Paolo and your truly. We cleaned the kitchen, gathered the plates and put them to the dish washer and put them to its right place. We were able to leave the hall at 3 in the morning. We were really exhausted, but still happy. We slept at Nanay Lina's place and Tatay Benny drove us to our respective places in the morning.

My dirty white pants was really very dirty and I continued sleeping at Ate Bren's place. We attended the 6pm Mass as St. Olav.

It was raining and good thing that I was bringing my umbrella..huhuhuh winter is finally here, :(.

Until here folks and I'm sorry coz I'm not in the mood to talk in detailed.

I'm really glad and he's so patient with me that he'll just ignore my stupidity. I'm sorry baby and I love you sooo!:)

Plumbing Training Courses

When I was still in Manila alomost 4 years ago, I saw a lot of posters on the street or even in the newspapers about the immediate need of plumbers. And during that time, I was still looking for a job and wished that I had some training related to plumbing and it wouldn't be difficult for me to find a job.

Plumbing is obviously vital to public health as plumbers deal with clean drinking water, sanitation and of course central heating. But plumbing is generally is not just about changing a washer and fixing leaks, but there still a lot of vital things to be done such as deal generally with piped systems for water such as fitting bathrooms, or to focus on building drainage installations, etc. Thus, one really needs a good and quality plumbing training.

3 years ago, Avand.co.uk was established in the UK as a plumbing training company to provide the right skills to future plumbers. And as time goes, they are able to establish centers all over UK.

As avand.co.uk produced good plumbers, their own qualified plumbers began to ask about sales and how they could improve their own business. And for that reason, they decided to expand their services into Sales Training Courses UK .

If you want to know more about the sales and business side of plumbing, just visit their site at www.avand.co.uk.

I'm here blogging at 12:53 in the morning, Central European time! I remember dozing off at around 9 in the evening, after I made some opps and cleaned my apartment a bit. I was planning to make some exercise, but I dozed off instead with a clip on my hair. I just woke up a while ago and went to the toilet to brush my teeth and comb my hair.

I left my lappy on the floor before I dozed off. So I picked it up to switched it off, but before doing it, I checked PPP once again and I saw a lot of opps, hehehe. So here I am, blogging early in the morning! Allow me to grab some opps before I finally doze off,:)

I'm off for today

Hi everyone! I just came from my employer's house and I'm already off for today. I'm just done eating dinner with them. I prepared shrimps with mushrooms and cabbage for dinner. Both my employers were bicycling to work today and my female employer came home early with the youngest child, so we ate dinner ahead of the others. The eldest daughter is in the theater class and will ate later. My male employer came home late and we're already done eating when he arrived. So, I cleaned the kitchen while my male employer is still eating, so he'll be cleaning his own mess after eating,:).
I always do that whenever one of them is coming home late, so I'll ask to leave even if one is still eating. I always expect the kitchen to be a mess the following morning, but I'm always wrong. My employers are pretty neat and they always put things into order, so things are basically in order even if I'm not around. But the kids' rooms are always an axception,:).

Ok everyone, bare with me because more posts are on their way, hehehe.

No blogging yesterday

Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing fine.

I was not able to blog yesterday because I was a little bit busy. Most of my time was spent commuting yesterday. First, I walked the eldest daughter to school and then I went home to clean the house. After cleaning, I went to the Filipino store in the city to buy some things for cooking for my employer. I came home with 2 heavy bags and it took me long time in walking from the bus stop to my employer's place because I have to stop and take a rest everytime my arms are already very sore.

Then, I went down to my apartment. I'm suppose to blog, but my body gave up and I dozed off in my bed. I woke up at around 3:30pm and started walking again to pick up the eldest child from school. Good thing and the child was in good mood and I didn't encounter a problem dealing with her. I prepared dinner afterwards, and I fetched the child who went to the neighbor to make her assignment together with her classmate who lives next door.

My female employer went to a gathering and my male employer was driving the youngest girl to the dance school. Then when he came home, the eldest daughter was also preparing because her father will also drive her to the dance school. Wednesday is really a busy day for my employers since they have to drive the children individually to the dance school. The children are enrolled to a dance school, but they have a different time slot, that's why they have to drive them separately.

I also babysit for the children last night from 7-9 because the father has to go jogging in the woods with his friends. I had fun with the children because we played chess. I saw the eldest kid playing chess with her classmate when I picked her up, so I got my chessboard and asked her to play with me. She liked it a lot. Though she don't know the game yet very much, but I bonded with them through it and I didn't have any difficulty putting them to bed because they listened to what I said. Hurrah!

And after my babysit, I immediately changed my clothes into my my jogging outfit. I jogged and danced inside my apartment while listening to Gwen Stefani and Nelly Furtado's music.

After that, I watched Ysabella, Prinsesa ng Banyera and Lastikman at Telebisyon and dozed off afterwards. I visited my blog though, but I just don't have enough time to make a post of blog hop. I'm sorry guys for being silent yesterday. Babawi po ako,:)

My scrappy for Hatifa

I want to entertain myself with happy thoughts, as to avoid thinking of my problem. But I don't know what to do. The problem just kept on playing in my head, no matter how many times I tried to ignore it, :(

Let me just share to you some of the scrappy I made for my nephew, Hatifa. She's my brother's 1st child and seeing her photos really brightens my day! Everytime I call home, she'll always grab the CP from my mother and talk to me and her constant line is "Tita Julai paliti ko chocolate",hehehe. It's really very cute and it's always a music to my ears. She's now 2 years old, but she talks very good already. No more baby talk and I'm really very proud of her and my Mama and my brother said that she got her wit and smart mind from me, :),hehehe.

I hope you like my scrappy. All credits goes to Scrapbookflair.

But I won't hide it from you forever, it's just I'm not yet ready to share it. Just wanna give you some hint, the problem brought tears and I really hate myself for encountering it once more. I was once at peace months ago (no relationship at all) and now I'm into this and it's giving me headache! Ohhh LOVE!

lazy afternoon

Hi everyone!I hope you had a nice working day today. Though I didn't clean a lot in the house because I already did the cleaning yesterday, but still, I was done working at around 12 noon because I cleaned the glass windows and doors. Good thing and my employer bought a set of cleaning stuff especially for the glass windows, so the cleaning went smoothly.

After cleaning, I went down to my apartment to blog. But then laziness attacked me and I suddenly losy my interest to blog. I dozed off in my bed instead, :(. So now, I have to double time and grab some opps before they'll be grabbed by others, hehehe.

Crazy saturday night!

Hi everyone! I hope you had a great weekend because I had a great one with my cousins and my friends! I just arrived here in my apartment almost 2 hours ago. I went home directly after attending the 6pm Mass at St. Olav Church in Oslo City. But before that, I attend a joint Household prayer meeting at Nanay Amy's place together with the HH of Nanay and Tatay's HH (all boys). Sis Jo (from our HH) is celebrating her birthday and she prepared some food for us. We had a really nice sharing and I shed some tears, :(. We traced our palm/fingers in a piece of paper and we put symbols on each fingers : symbol of self, dream, happiness, significant other and most painful experience in life. And we have to put a symbol of GOD on the center of our palms. We shared and discussed about the symbols and I was asked to share about my most painful experience, and I just can't help it everytime I talk about my beloved father's death, huhuhu. All in all, it was a nice HH and got time to know and bond with my SFC sisters more.

And now let me talk about the title pof my post, :). We had a crazy saturday night indeed! In my last post, we were yet undecided if we will push-through of our plan to go to the disco on Friday. Finally, later in the evening, we decided to stay at Ate Eve's place and continue our singing session with her magic sing. We had a great time and we kept on laughing, singing and dancing.

The entire Saturday was spent strolling in Oslo City. My bestfriend, Bhing, my cousin Lisa (who also worked in DK before) and I were the tourist guides to my 3 cousins (Florrean, Analyn and Vilma) from Denmark as we toured the City. We went to the King and Queen's Castle, Aker Brygge, Oslo's municipal hall and window shopping at Karl Johannes St. or commonly known as the Walking Street. We really had a great time and of course we took a lot of pictures, :). Pictures will be posted later, I'm not yet in the mood to upload them, :(.

And before our 24-hour card expires, we went home to Ate Eves' place. We talked about the disco once more, but finally decided to stay and have a singing and dancing session once again. And one of our friends, Ate Ging2x, joined as in the weekend and brought a 1 liter Tanduay 5 years fresh from the Philippines. She asked one of her friends to send one for her because she usually drink a glass during winter. She offered the drink to us and so we started drinking as we continue dancing and singing. We were very noisy and laughing all the time and some got drunk,:). And it was really a crazy saturday night because we all went crazy and wild,:). I don't want to elaborate the details. And later in the evening, another friend, Ate Minang, came to join us with a bottle of Red Martini and a red wine. Whoahhhh!! The additional drinks really drove us crazier,:). 2 of cousins took videos and we had a good laugh about it just this morning. But don't worry coz they won't upload it in youtube, :)

My 3 cousins, best and I woke up early this morning, at around 6:30am because my cousins were going back to Denmark with the bus at 9:15 am. We accompanied them to the bus terminal and after that, Best and I went back to Ate Eves place to go back to sleep. But when we arrived, that already started the singing session once again and started to laugh-out-loud,hehehe.

All in all, I had a great weekend and I hope that you had a great one too! I was able to bond with my cousins and my friends more. And thanks GOD for giving my cousins a safe trip back to DK (they arrived there at 5pm).

Got to doze off now folks!

Singing session

It's me again!
We already ate dinner and we are very full. Ate Eves cooked escabecheng manok and it really tastes yummy! And of course, the famous pancit was part of the menu. Pampahaba ng buhay!hehehe

We are still waiting for our other friends to come. But the singing session has already started about an hour ago. So here I am blogging with the "noisy" voice of my cousins, hehehe. I'm just kidding! My cousins are good singers and they can really sing songs in the right beat. I think I'm the only one in the room right now who can't sing a song very well. Maybe that's the reason why they're not offering me the microphone, hehehe.

Microwaves

I asked my employer the other day if they have a microwave oven because it's easier to warm foods in the microwave and I can also make popcorns, :). But she said that they don't have a microwave since they already have a big oven. I surfed in the net about microwave ovens and different kinds and styles. I just hope that they will buy one before my contract ends, so I can still use it.

T.G.I.F.

Hi everyone!Happy friday to all!I'm blogging here at Ate Eve's place where my cousins are also staying. We're going to spend the weekend here together with my other friends.

I arrived here at around 4pm and we went to Holmenkollen, the ski jump here in Norway. We walked up there since it's just in the vicinity of Ate Eves place. But it was really far and we didn't expect that we will be walking for more than an hour. But it's ok because we also enjoyed the walk and we were always laughing on our way to the hilly road.

We took the train on our way back because it was already dark and very cold. It's also the birthday of Vilma, one of my cousins on visit here and we are planning to go to the disco in Oslo City and have fun. But we still have to discuss more about it. We are now preparing dinner..awww they to be exact because I'm here blogging, while they are cooking. I'm very bad,:(

That's all for this moment guys! More updates later this evening or tomorrow!

Skin care and protection

Skin care protection was never given any attention during my childhood and my teenage years. I mean, I really don't care about it. I only apply lotion to my skin and that's it.

But being here in Europe has given me a new thought of caring more about my skin. When I was still working in Denmark, my employer would always tell me to use sun protection especially during summer, but I just ignore her because I thought that I no longer need it since I have brown skin. But a fact about skin protection I read a long time ago has changed my views. Dark-skinned people are still vulnerable to skin cancer and other related disorders, though the precentage is less compared to white-skinned people, but it doesn't mean that dark-skinned should take skin care and protection for granted. So from that time on, I always make sure to use lotion with SPF during summer, especially if we are going to the beach or staying longer under the heat of the sun.

I also started to use a facial cream especiallu during winter, to protect my face from extreme wind and to avaoid dryness of my face. A lot of skin care and protection products are alreaady available in the market today as well as more skinceuticals are being established. Thus, choosing the right products for your skin type is getting tougher. We should choose skin care and protection products carefully as to make ensure protection to our skins and not damage. Popularity of a certain product should not be a basis, but it should be it's effectiveness.

a talk with my hostfamily

Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing well. I'm already here in my apartment and hearing the noise from the washing machine. I'm washing my winter jackets. I'm done early with my duty because there's no cooking for today since the kids are going to birthday parties.

Lastnight, I had a talk with my hostfamily (minus the children). They already told me that they want to talk to me and the talk ws scheduled on Tuesday night, but it postponed to give more time with my cousins. I was already scared and feeling bad about it coz I thought that I did something that they don't want and that they want me out of their house.:( So I was very anxious to finally talk to them and listen to what they have to say. A lot of negative things were already playing in my mind.

And so lastnight, they asked me if I want to say something before they'll start. I told them that I'm having difficulty with the kids since they don't listen to me. And that's what they observed too and that's the major thing why they want to talk to me. They want me to be more strict with the children and to show to them that I'm really the boss when their parents are away. I have to decide and should not give in to what they want, as not to be abused by them. What a relieve!I thought they're going to scold me. Atleast, I already got a verbal approval to be strict to their children. They're also going to tell their children to listen to me and that I should talk to their children more. I already tried many times to establish a closer relationship with the kids, but I failed. But I'll keep on trying...

They also told me about the things that I can still improve in the house. And they told me that generally, they're very satisfied with my performance. The house is very clean and most of all, the female employer is thankful that I'm preparing dinner for them without asking her on what to make and said that preparing dinner before was really a headache because she has to think on what to make. I'm really glad that they're satisfied and I already have a peace of mind now that I already heard them.

I also told them about some other things which are also related to my job in their family and they're also proposing something good. But we still have to discuss more about it. There might be some changes in my routine starting next month, but it will be for the better.

Thanks GOD and lastnight's talk with my hostfamily was a success!

Telebisyon is back

Yeheyyyyyy, Telebisyon is finally back! It's the entertainment site where I watch pinoy teleseries and other filipino and english movies. But 3 weeks ago, telebisyon was down (I already blogged about it in my previous posts) and I was really bored and sad coz I don't have any form of entertainment anymore. Ate Lutchi also asked me about the site because she can't also find the site.

One of my friends last weekend told me that she can still view teleseries and movies in Telebisyon, so we checked the site and I figured out that the site was changing into a new URL that's why I can no longer access it. I'm glad and my entertainment site is back. No more lonely and boring nights for me! The new Telebisyon URL is : http://telebisyon.spreebb.com.

Happy viewing everyone!

Already asleep

My cousins are already asleep right now! The only thing I'm hearing here in my apartment aside from the clicking of the keyboard is one of my cousin's phones that tuned into a certain FM station and is currently playing "the tide is high". I'm not sure though if it's really the title of the song,:).

I'll be sleeping in a little while too, but I still have to grab some more opps before finally dozing off as to cover up for my " no opps" weekend.
So, bear with me folks!

General cleaning

I was a so busy today because I did the general cleaning instead of the original schedule every Friday. As I mentioned on friday, I didn't do the general cleaning because my female employer was home and asked me to just tidy up and do the general cleaning on Monday. I was finished with the cleaning at around 1pm and then I asked my cousins to go with me to the store to buy some bread to be served in the HH prayer meeting.

We walked to the store and as we were walking,I realized something! I forgot to clean the stereo cabinet in my employer's place!Ohh ohh! It's ok, I'll just clean it tomorrow and make sure that I can't forget about it anymore.

busy me

Hi everyone and happy Monday to all!I hope everything is going well with you. I'm sorry for not blogging during the weekend and posting late now because I'm sooo busy!

I spent my weekend in Ate Eves' place with my friends and cousins. We had a very good time together and as usual, I refrain from blogging because they don't want me to blog when I'm with them,:) coz it won't keep me quiet and they hate it!

I attended SFC activities on Friday and Saturday with my SFC community and it was really good. The teaching on Saturday was all about love and all were really "kilig" to the bones!hehehe. Ate Gay's story was really very inspiring.

I didn't go to church on Sunday though because I picked my 3 cousins up in the bus terminal. They're having a 1 week autumn vacation and they'll be psending it with me...how sweet! They are now here, preparing to sleep! And thanks that they arrived here yesterday because they helped me in preparing the food for the household prayer meeting. Yes, the household prayer meeting was held here a while ago. Out of the 12, 5 were only present, but still we had a nice sharing. I hope more will come next time. I'm really excited with my new HH and hoping to learn more as we continue.
I picked my SFC sisters from the bus stop and I also walked them back. We also discussed the 1st chapter of Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren.

I washed the dishes after walking them to the bus stop, and now here I am blogging to cover up for my absence from the blogosphere, :). And to all who visited me here, thank you very much for all the visit and your messages. I promise to visit you back later!

Toys for my children

As I mentioned in my other blog, I'm now buying stuffs to fill my balikbayan box for my family back home. I'll be sending it before my contract here ends and I'll try to catch the July shipping schedule next year. Though it's still next year, but I have to buy things slowly, as not to feel the ill with all the money spent at once, :).

I already bought some stuffs for the house and also some clothes. I made a list of all people whom I'll be giving something and some of the names were already checked (meaning, I already bought something for them). And of course, I'm going to buy a lot of clothes and toys for my children. Yesss!!you read it right, for my children...my brother's children (all girls) whom I considered as my own and of course, my 7-year old boy, Eric! Eric is our adopted and he's the son of my father's 1st cousin. He came to our family almost 3 years ago and I really love him and considered him as my own son!Good thing and he has the same family name as ours.

i'm already looking for clothes and toys for my girls and my boy. I was in one of the shops in the city on monday and I saw cars that Eric will surely love. So, I'll buy one of those next time. I was surfing the net about for toys the other day (trying to see if I can get cheap toys through online shopping) and I was impressed with RC helicopters. They're really very cool and it will surely make Eric and the girls very happy, if I'll bought one for them. Hmmm, I'll still think about it.

relaxed days

Hi everyone! Hope you are all doing well! Here I am blogging at 9 in the morning! Yess, it's still early, but I have nothing to do while waiting for 11am to come. My female employer is still not feeling well and decided to stay home for the week. So, after making the lunchbox of the kids and tidying up the kitchen, I have to go down to my apartment and wait for her to leave the house and start cleaning. She don't want to be disturbed.

I really had relaxed days starting monday and hopefully throughout the entire week. But I'm feeling guilty though because I'm working less and still, will be paid full by them.:(

She went to the hospital the other day for check up. Her husband told me that there's just something wrong with her stomach. But yesterday, she told me the truth while I was sitting with her and the youngest child in the sofa. I did babysit yesterday for about 2 hours because she drove the kids alternately to the ballet school (kids go there every wednesday) and I have to look after one of the kids while she's driving the other one. She told me that she had a miscarriage, that's why she's not feeling well and told me that I don't have to tell the kids about it because she didn't tell them, for they won't understand about it. Of course I won't tell them. I don't even know how to say it in norsk, hehehe. I really felt sorry for her coz I know that she still want to have a 3rd child. The fetus was already 11 weeks, she said. And I was amazed coz she've been preggy for almost 3 months, but I really didn't noticed it. Though when she went to the hospital, I thought that she's preggy. I hope she'll be preggy again very soon and hope that it would be a boy.:)

United Kingdom

This country is also in my vacation list, just like Australia. I want to see a lot of famous things from this country. London Bridge is number one on my list, just want to make sure that it's not "falling down" at all, :) and of course, I wanted to take a look at the famous Big Ben. touring around UK is for sure expensive, so staying at one of the London Hotels sponsored by www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk will surely be a big help to one's budget. Visiting Notting Hill is also a part of the itenirary while in London. I just want to make sure how Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant felt while on "Notting Hill", :).

One should not miss Edinburgh while in UK as not to miss the spectacular cityscape. The beautiful cityscape is divided into two: the historic Old Town, with its medieval cobblestone wynds and alleys and the elegant neo-classical facades of the Georgian New Town. Edinburgh Castle is also a must-see while in Edinburgh, the castle that takes visitors to the heart of the nation’s history. www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk also provides a list of Edinburgh Hotels where you can be accomodated comfortably and yet, pay less. Edinburgh is also home to the Rosslyn chapel, which starred in Dan Brown’s best seller the Da Vinci Code.

www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk also provides a list of Glasgow Hotels whenever you want to visit Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland and the third most populous city in the UK. There are also a lot of beautiful museums, landscape, establishments, etc that can be found in Glasgow.

That's all for now about UK and more to come!

waiting

Hi and happy tuesday to all!
It's already 9:39am and I'm still here in my apartment, waiting for the clock to be 10:30, so I can start cleaning my employer's place.

I started my usual duty at 7am and then I walked the eldest child to school. But my male employer told me to start working again at 10:30 because her wifey is still sick until now. She's going to the hospital for check-up, so I have to start cleaning when she leaves already, as not to disturb her while sleeping.

So here I am,waiting and blogging at the same time,:).

the longest word

I'm here in front of my lappy, resting from the tiring work outside. I'm just done picking up all the dried leaves outside, yeheyyyy I'm done atlast!!

And so I decided to google the longest word (I already read it from my friend's blog) and here's the result from wikipedia.com:

The longest word in any of the major English language dictionaries is pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis, a 45-letter word which refers to a lung disease contracted from the inhalation of very fine silica particles specifically from a volcano.

Australia

Australia is one of the places in my vacation list. It's really one of my dreams to have a vacation in Australia and see the famous Sydney Opera House and the Kangaroos with my own eyes.

The City of Sydney will be my first stop, if ever given the chance to have a vacation in Australia. And I will never miss the two landmarks of the City : Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. If you are also planning to visit the famous City, you can always stay in one of the Hotels in Sydney and be accomodated comfortably.

Melbourne is the next Australian City on my list because it's a major center of commerce, industry and cultural activity. It's also known as the "Sporting and Cultural Capital" of Australia. You can also find different Hotels in Melbourne and choose one that will suit your mood and taste.

Hotels in Brisbane are also very willing to accomodate you while exploring Brisbane, the largest City in Australia and the capital and most populous city of the Australian state of Queensland.

I really hope that I can make this dream of mine into a reality,be it sooner or later. Wait for me Australia!

I'm home

Hi everyone!Happy Sunday to all!

Thanks God and I'm already here in my apartment. I just arrived an hour ago. I spent my my saturday at Ate Eves place together with my Best and my friends. We really had sooo much fun singing with Ate Eve's magic sing. And poor me, I always got a very low score, huhuhu.

We attended the 6pm Mass at St. Olav, but I went ahead of them at 4pm because I had a meeting with my new household (HH) in SFC. There's a reshuffle in the SFC's households and our new household will start this coming October 15 (monday) and it will be here in my apartment. I hope everything will turn out well.I'm soo excited to meet and know my HH better.

Have a nice day tomorrow everyone!

Garage cabinets

Garages are suppose to be neat , but most of the garages I've seen in my life are always messy. All the stuffs are just cluttered all-over.

To those who are planning to make some order in their garages, take a look at the wide array of garage storage cabinets from www.carguygarage.com. For sure, you will find a cabinet that will fit into your garage and help you in making your garage stuffs more organized. They also offer different stuffs for the garage such as workbenches, flooring and storage.

Alone

Hi everyone!I hope you are all doing fine outthere! Yess!! I am alone in my apartment right now and I'm really enjoying my solitude. I love the peaceful and calm environment I have right now because it suits my "silent" mood, hehehe.

I was done with my general cleaning at around 1pm and then I went down to my apartment and decided to go out for the weekend tomorrow and just stay here in the apartment for the rest of the day. I was invited by my friends to attend a farewell party of one of their friend who'll be going to Spain next week, but then I refused because I have dysmenorrhea and I don't feel like going. So I started watching my favorite teleserye, Ysabella at veoh.com. I havn't watched the teleserye for more than a month now because the site where I usually watch the show is still down until now. Good thing and one of my au pair friends told me about veoh.com and tat I can watch Ysabella there, so I checked it out yesterday and started watching. And this afternoon, I continued watching until this very minute, hehehe. Thanks and I'm already with the latest episode, hehehe.

I'll be going to Ate Eves place tomorrow to meet my friends. I don't want to spend the entire weekend alone coz it will be boring! So I have to get out here by tomorrow, :).

Discrimination of Filipino Doctors

I already read about the issue 2x today. For the first time in Jaycee's Blog and then in Parisukat's blog. And so, I immediately check the video at youtube.

I love watching "Desperate Housewives" because it's very funny and my employer in Denmark loves watching it too. But I'm sooo disappointed with the discriminating lines that Teri Hatcher delivered in one of the episodes. The exact lines were :

“Okay, before we go any further, can I check those diplomas? Cause I would just like to make sure they are not from some med school in the Philippines.”

And it already caused a lot of discussion and protests from different Filipino communities all-over-the-globe. I just can't imagine why the writers of the show were able to come up with that lines when in fact there are a lot of good Filipino doctors working in the US as well as nurses and caregivers.

We really need an apology for this discriminating act!

Cash advance

more and more people these days are getting short of their budget before the next payday and i'm not an exemption from it! Yes, it's a shame, but I'm always out of my budget and I have to use my little saving to keep me surviving until my next salary. My employer always deposits the money to my bank account every end of the month, but most fo the time, I always ask him to deposit it earlier because I need to send money to my family back home. I'm doing it through bank to bank transaction to lessen the fee,so I have to send it earlier since it takes almost 1 week for the money to be available.

Most of my friends here receive their salary in cash. And just like me, they often ask their employers for cash advance because they have to send money back home, be it emergency or not. Upon surfing, I found out about www.cashadvance1500.com, a site that grants cash advance payday loans. I'm going to meet my friends for the weekend tomorrow and I'll mention cashadvance1500.com to them and they might try it, whenever they need money before our payday. That is if cashadvance1500.com is also available in Norway and for us au pairs. We'll see!

nothing's done

Hi everyone!I'm about to sleep, but I just want to blog before I doze off. I had a relaxed day today. After my hostfamily left for work, I started working immediately. I vacuumed, put some laundry and arranged the clutter and around 9:20 in the morning, I was already done. So I went down to my apartment and started clicking the keyboard.

I worked again at 3pm and prepared dinner. I made spaghetti because my employer requested it since the children were having a playmate home. I was off early, around 5pm and started clicking the keyboard again.

Actually, I had a lot of things in my mind. Things to do, but as I'm thinking now, nothing's done and I'm really disappointed! I'm wondering what did I do with my very longgggggg free time this afternoon?Ohhh another wasted time! I really need to use my time wisely and I have to act immediately!Got to doze off for now!

Bunk beds

Bunk beds, but my family always refer it as "double-deck". We always talk about it, especially when we were still in high school because my parents thought that it's the appropriate type of bed to have in my bedroom and my brother's room as well because it's not space consuming and there's always an extra bed for my cousins and other relatives, especially during our fiesta celebration, when a lot of my cousins and relatives will visit us and stay for 1 or 2 days in our place until the fiesta is over. The house is always crowded during fiesta, but we really don't mind it because we're very happy seeing all of them. It's like a family reunion of some sort.

Now that my brother is married, so he can no longer put a bunk bed on his room. He needs a family size bed, to accomodate them all. :). But I'm still planning to put a bunk bed in my room, so there will be an extra space. But I'm not yet sure if Mama will agree about it. But for sure, I'll recommend bunk beds to my nieces' rooms because they'll surely enjoy climbing the stairs. Especially if it will be a colorful one.

busy monday

It was really a busy monday for me. I'm already here in my apartment and I'm tired. I did the general cleaning today instead of doing it last friday (the normal sched) because my female employer was not feeling well and she don't want to be disturbed (i already wrote the details on my post last friday). Aside from cleaning the entire house, I also changed the beddings and put 2 sets of laundry. I'm suppose to gather all the dry leaves outside, but I didn't have the energy anymore, so I'll do it tomorrow.

I was done cleaning at around 1pm and went down here in the apartment to have a nap. But then I checked my mails and did a lot of things in the internet, so it was almost 3pm when I started my nap. So I end up waking up at 3:30 and scared that my hostfamily will come before I can make dinner. So I went to the house in hurry and started making dinner. I made chicken afritada. Good thing and I'm already done cooking when the family arrived.
