Those are the words that the voice from deep within is telling me since I got here in Spain and I really have to listen to the voice if I want to save. I have been promising myself that I'll start saving here in Spain since the money I earned in Denmark and Norway are no way to be found,hehehe. Yes, it's true! I don't really know where my money goes, so I have to start saving for myself this time. There's a lot of sales here in Spain, but I am really tightening my pocket,:) I have to join the Spanish people in their cost-cutting measures because of the economic crisis that Spain is experiencing right now. And I think I am doing well it terms of saving coz I observed that I am no longer spending a lot just like attitude when I was still in Norway that I just keep on buying things even if they are not necessary. So my technique here, is I only buy things that are really needed and I look for sales or cheaper items that are in good quality too and I found a lot here in Spain. Though the brand is not that famous, but the quality of the product is really good, so I go for it.:)I just bought a winter boots the other day and I bought the one on sale and it only costs me 7 euros, so it was a cheap buy. If you need eyeglasses for example, then try buying at zennioptical.com because you can have a pair for only 8 dollars. What a nice offer! One can surely make a good savings with the offer instead of buying a pair of eyeglasses in it's normal price.

On Wednesday, I went to work a little bit late coz of the Tueday's chaos. My female employer was not home when I arrived. I started working and then I went to the store nearby in the afternoon to buy a pair of winter boots that was on sale coz my shoes were wet and I had my sandals on when I came to work and they also got wet coz it was still raining. And when I came back to the house, my female employer was already there. She said "hola" and I said hi. Then I went to the room to do some ironing and she also went to work in the living room which she converts as a home office whenever she's working at home. And then after few minutes, she called me if I have a minute and came to the room. We talked about the Tuesday happening and I was crying again and she also understood my situation. She told me that I have to take control and I should not believe her husband when he says that he's going to do a thing..I have to ask and confirm it when it involves the children..She's really entrusting me her children and I was touched. She also cried and I understood her point. She hugged me and she also asked sorry. I was relieved and I am so glad coz my employers are very open to me and I can really feel that I am part of the family. Thanks God!!
Last Tuesday was indeed very stressful for me and it was also my worst day so far here in Spain.:( My new sched is to pick up the kids at school every Tuesday and bring them to the neighboring school where they do sports and it's about 10 minutes walk. So I came there with their judo uniform and umbrellas since it's raining. The teacher said that the children went home already with the bus, so I argued that they're not suppose to go home and it was difficult since the teacher don't speak English. He called another teacher who speaks English and he had another version, that the children were already at the other school coz they went there with a friend. I was really confused and irritated. I asked the teacher if it's already sure that they're already at the other school and so I went there with all the stuffs. And when I came, the children were not there. So I was already in panic,:( I left my heavy bag at the other school and went running back to school to ask once more. My shoes were already so wet, as well as my feet and my jeans. I came there and I was directed to the teacher's office and then Sofia's (my female alaga) teacher came and confirmed that the children were already in the bus going home since there was no note that I'm going to the school to pick them up. The father said that he'll take care in calling the school, but he forgot! So the teacher called the parents and was able to contact my female employer who was with her client and she talked to me and was so angry coz she already instructed me to coordinate with her husband. She told me to resolve the situation and too bad and I can't call my male employer coz I don't have my phone with me. It's battery empty and I need the pincode to switch it on again. So everything was really a chaos. Finally, the teacher got hold of the father and the father said that he's going to pick up the children. So I went back to the other school to get the back and walk back to the train station which is 20 minutes walk. I was really tired and don't have energy anymore. I was thinking that if they will fire me,then fine. I was very wet when I came and they're not home yet. And after few minutes the father and the children came. And so I talked to the father and broke down. I really cried in front of him out of frustration and he asked sorry since it was not my fault. It's already getting cold here in Spain and I've been freezing here in the boarding house since Monday,:( It's really cold here and they don't have a heater and it's so difficult for me to get up in the morning coz it's so cold and there's no hot water so I still have to boil a casserole of water to mix with the cold water. Grrrrrrrr, what a hassle!! I just wish that the owners fixed the problem first before leaving for vacation. So now, I am left here to freeze,brrrrrrr!!!
It's already 2am here and I really need to go to bed now coz I still have to work tomorrow. Though I don't have to be very early coz I will drop by the store to buy some things for my employers and the store opens at 9:15am, so it's ok if I'll go out at 8:30 from here. But still, I need to take some good sleep to be fresh for tomorrow. Actually, 5 hours is not enough, but that's all I can get for now. It's getting cold already here in Barcelona and it has been raining in the past few days. I have to complete my winter wardrobe before it gets too cold. Though there will be no snow here, but it will still be cold. Not as cold as Norway though. I have already bought a winter jacket and I am planning to buy a winter boots too coz the shoes that I am using for work everyday is a summer shoes and it gets wet when it's raining. This afternoon, I went to the grocery store and it was raining. My shoes got wet as well as my socks,grrrrrrrrrr. So I really have to buy a pair of boots so soon. I've been looking in the stores and there's a lot of style to choose from and there are lots on sale too. But I need something that's durable, so I won't be buying again. I saw cool UGG Australia boots in the net, but I am not sure if the brand is available here in Spain.
Last week was a very busy week for me at work coz my female employer went out of town for 3 days and so I took charge in taking care of the children, 3 children. The father comes home late coz of the traffic, so I was not able to go home at exactly 9pm. And it was difficult too coz the children always misbehaved when their parents are not around. That's why I was not able to blog last week coz I came home tired everyday and no more energy to blog. Though my mind is very willing, but my body is so weak already. I still sleep late, around 12 midnight most of the time, but I just wanna lay in bed and do nothing to relax my body coz most of the time, my feet are aching from a long day's work.
Yes, It was my first day at school learning Spanish,:) and the class will be every Saturday from 5-7pm. There were a lot of students enrolled in level 0, there were 200 enrollees actually. So, we were divided into different classes according to age. We were 30 in our class and our teacher was so fast. I thought that learning Spanish will be just easy, but I was wrong. It was indeed not a piece of cake,:( Though I already learned a lot of Spanish words but subject-verb agreement is difficult coz the verb changes when the subject changes. So there's a lot of things to remember,grrrrrrrr. Another pain in the head,:( But I am really hoping that I can learn fast. I'll do my best. I've already ordered a book for the entire semester and I just hope that we can have it next meeting coz it will be a great help for sure. I'm not sure though if it's like free audio books, just like what we're having in Denmark in our Danish class. If not, then it's just ok coz the pronunciation here is not that difficult compared to the Danish language.
Yeheyyyy, I am so happy today coz I already have an internet connection and it's already fix!:) I already asked my landlady about the connection and she told me that I can actually share with their connection and then just pay 1/4 of their monthly bill. She called his son and I talked to him and he instantly gave me the network key and I got my connection right away. And the status of the connection is "very good" and it means that my entertainment is back for good and it also means that I can now blog so often....Everyday if I have the time,:) Yohooo, life is so good and I truly thanks God for it,:)
oh myy, my one hour here in the net has already ended and I already asked for a 30-minute extension coz i still have a lot of things to do, but the owner just gave me 15 minutes coz they´re closing so soon. And now the 15 minutes is almost done too. Time runs so fast really. Hayyy, I just hope I can have a connection in my room once again, so I won´t be bothered in going to the net every now and then. I am already alone in my room now coz my roommate, Ate Becky, has started a stay in the house of her employers starting last Monday and she´ll just go back to the borading house on Saturdays. It´s already so boring. I asked Ate that I´ll sleep in her bed. We have a double-deck bed in the room and I occupied the upper part. So I am now sleeping in the lower deck, but I don´t like it much coz it has poor lighting and my eyes are aching everytime I read. I still love my upper deck,heheheh. And I´ll be sleeping back there this Saturday. The only good thing that the lower deck offers is that I don´t have difficulty going to the toilet to pee coz I always jump from the upper deck in the middle of the night just to go to the toilet.
Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well. I am so glad to be blogging here once again. It has vbeen a long time since my last entry,:( I haven´t blog lately coz the unsecure internet connection that I got was gone since Sunday, so I was not able to connect anymore... I will try to ask my landlady if I can share wit their internet connection and I´ll jusy pay some dime. I just hope she´ll agree and I´m still waiting for the right timing to ask her. I just hope it will be so soon so I don´t have to come here in the net coz it´s already so late.
